YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

WHAT DOESN'T SAVE YOU

- Good works

- Being a good person

- Your good outweighing your bad

- Religion

- Church

- Baptism

- Traditions

The Bible says salvation is a gift. Good works are the result, not the cause of saving faith. If you can earn salvation, why did Jesus die for us?

"...there is none that doeth good, no, not one." - Romans 3:12

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags" - Isaiah 64:6

WHO DOES SAVE YOU

The Lord Jesus Christ.

- The Son of God, He lived a sinless life & fulfilled the law.

- He was sacrificed for our sins, God placed the sins of the whole world on Him.

- He died for us & took the punishment we deserved.

- Your sins required a price & He paid it with His blood.

- Jesus rose from the dead, He lives & we can live by Him.

- Turn to God & believe on Jesus to save you.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13
