Does Catholicism preach the same gospel that Jesus and the apostles preached?

The warning…

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. - Galatians 1:8

The gospel they preached is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, nothing else added. We are to repent to God and believe on this Jesus, not another.

In God's own words, the gospel that they preached for salvation…

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. - Acts 20:21

Would a Catholic object to believing on Jesus Christ, no. But do they preach another gospel and way of salvation? Yes. Catholicism adds a system of works that only they can provide (Catholic sacraments). In other words, believing what was preached by Jesus and the apostles isn’t enough, you need the extra biblical traditions of the Catholic Church to be saved.

Catholic vs. Bible Salvation

Catholic: Gospel + Mary + Catholic Sacraments + Purgatory. You must go through the Catholic Church and partake in their system to be saved.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. - Colossians 2:8

Bible: Believe the Gospel. Anyone, anywhere can believe and be saved, you go directly to God.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13
